Is $400 at the same price point with A450?
I think it will be more expensive. My bet is $600 :D

I am guessing $400 minimum, but it looks to be worth it, especially if we can use our lens collections

Slider looks pretty cool to me. Nice idea for a compact. I highly doubt that the price will be that low; most compacts sell for much higher than that

I'm still wondering about the price of these cameras. They will have the an APS-C sensor, Alpha lenses, and video with control over depth of field...yet they are stripped down in some way that I am not seeing besides body size and shape. If I can get my hands on one of these for $200 or less, thats a great deal!

Concur on the slider.
You can see it at 34 seconds in. The slider makes the same arc a thumb would when swiping across the screen and holding the camera with your right hand. Also at 1:07 there looks like another thumb swipe slider that switches between aperture, program, scene, and a few other modes. |

You can see it from the video here... the video looks same as the previous promotional video, but there is additional info about GUI there... you can also click the bottom one, and see the GUI screenshot. The concept seems like E-PL1, where you adjust on-screen slider for aperture. That's all
http://www.sony.jp/dslr/info2/20100222.html Additional pics are here http://dc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/20100311_353976.html The link is updated frequently by Sony (content, layout etc) as the time writing. Edited by hoge-fan - 11 March 2010 at 04:14 |
