A500 shots with a variation of this neglected prime; all with AF, no flash, hand held; raw files re-edited in Lightroom 5. A word of caution, though: My lens is an early version with this designation on the front: "High-Speed Wide 28mm 1:1.8 Multi-Coated"; it has a distance scale window but not the word "Aspherical."

f/6.3, 1/30th sec., ISO 200

f/4, 1/60th sec., ISO 200

f/5, 1/80th sec., ISO 200

f/2, 1/30th sec., ISO 200

f/3.2, 1/30th sec., ISO 200

f/4.5, 1/60th sec., ISO 200
