Peter, I received my kit today and proceeded to take some sample shots in the house. It has a very nice effect, much better than my sto-fen that I was using. Not a great deal of shadowing...some, but not what you would expect from a mounted flash. I am really glad you shared it with us and I could benefit from your knowledge (and apparent scissor ability). This will come in handy and stores very easily in the bag (unlike other products).

I found some usefull stuff in Holland
It's available in hobbyshops were you also can buy art painting stuff.
It's called Crepla, a kind of rubber avalable in different sizes and thicknesses. The manufacturere is German called Rayher Hobbykunst D-88471 Laupheim.
I bought the white one 2mm thick and 30x40 cm price 1,10 Euro
You can make 4 ABBC's out of it.

Above you see my piece of art ;-)

I made one of these for a 3600 HS and it really does make a difference. I tagged along a photo shoot with my friends and was taking my own portraits on the side and noticed how my pictures were a lot softer, they were lighting directly. So I let them borrow it for the rest of the shoot ;). Thanks Peter.

Peter,
Sorry for not posting sooner. I received my package of pre cut items (reflectors and bands). I was very pleased with the results and the cost was negligable. Great idea Peter. Enjoyed the video as well.

Thank you,

Hi Peter. Just watched your video and found it very informative. I have just one question for you though. I think you said you were using a 5D camera and 5600 flash set up. Whilst using your Better Bounce Card what settings to you use on the camera? Do you use it on any of the program settings, and which flash setting do you use for best results?

Although I understand a lot of the settings are a personal preference depending on the subject, existing lighting, etc I just wondered what was a good starting point for my 7D?

I ask because for many years I have used Minolta film cameras and flash units finishing up with a 700si and a 5600HS flash, and achieving good results.

Unfortunately, now I have a 7D my photos don't appear as good. It was only by reading this forum (after I had purchased my 5600HS) that I discovered it wasn't compatible with the 7D and D lenses using ADI. Does TTL still work with this combination?

I have now bought a 3600HSD for full compatibility, but wondered if I would be better off keeping the more powerful flash too if I can achieve good results.

Any suggestions?
