Hi,
Finally some good news using sonys. A 70 gigapixel panorama picture was made of Budapest Hungary with 2 A900, 400mm lenses and 1,4x converter on them. It's made of 6000 photos Here is the link of the pano http://70gigapixel.cloudapp.net/ Here is a photo of it. links

I was under the impression that the kits on which they set these up and take them pretty much do all the work - including the stitching in specialised software.
If not then that's a ridiculous amount of work for what is (admittedly an impressive technical and very interesting achievement through which to roam) a somewhat uninspiring photograph overall. |

Hi,
They had 40 gigs of images. They used a Dell work station with 24 gig RAM, and 2 4 cell Xenon processors. They used autopano to stitch it together in 2 days to create a 200 gig KRO file. Than photo shop was not able to open it, so they had to cut it up to 3 peaces, to open one it too 1 hr, and to save 3 hr. There are some more detail but I'm lazy to translate it and need to go. There should be english translation and a movie too Cheers Misi |

Great find. I had a look at it. It's best viewed full screen, after hitting the full screen button, you can see what detail 70-Gigapixel Panorama really has.
