I note that my a450 is presently running v1.0 of the firmware and had heard that there was an upgrade. Had a look on the sony site and there are lots of upgrades for different camera's but not for this model. Does anyone know if I am looking in the wrong place or is there no upgrade available? Thanks...
a200, kit lens, 18-200 tamron, minolta 50mm 1.7 a450, tamron 17-70 f2.8-4, Sigma 70-300 APO.

No firmware upgrades as far as I know - which admittedly isn't saying much ... at least the camera database here in dyxum lists only fw v1.0 and my a450 came with v1.0 when I got it used five months ago, so the previous owner wasn't aware of any updates either.

And what with the lack of any obvious bugs in v1.0, the geographically limited distribution and the short time window during which Sony sold the a450 as a new/current model, it would be kinda surprising for them to have invested any resources in a fw update. Maybe your source for there being such an update might have confused that with the software update of Sony IDC to v4 last fall?
