I vote for Sheldon from Big Bang theory as the spokesman. He could rattle off all the specs....LOL and then announce the A1 with 50 mp sensor then throw in a Bazinga!!!

Well, how about my daughter for the Sony Poster Girl? I'm her agent and am willing to close the deal for about 60% of what they are paying Swift!

Nokia 808 is 41mp so the pros shoulf buy it then. there are still pros shooting with 12mp and very happy.

More than likely the Marketing "Dudes" (with respect) just chose to allocate a more than typical amount of a fixed budget, assigned to that camera, for a higher level symbol... They could have taken the same amount of money to send a mail flyer to the post box of every G20 country.. It is neither here nor there on what the camera does...

It is like saying .. Darn it could have been a 36Mpix device but we had to pay for Taylor Swift with 12 Mpix...

I often said that Sony's ad campaigns are next to non existent ... And Have thought about shooting several ideas for commercials and submitting them to Sony. .. Who better to talk about a Sony than the people who love the camera in the first place... we have all been asked the age old question.. "WHY SONY?"

   I hate this, but a lot of these "NEW Photographers" buy a camera to take better photos thinking that somehow the Skill will magically appear with that extra 10 MP over the last year's model. In reality SONY is providing a camera that virtually shows you what you will get BEFORE you take the shot... Couple that with the High MP and gadget features like all the Scene modes... you have a camera that a lot of NEW photographers can really use out of the box. I hate this, but it is a fact of life as we know it. Camera Companies need to make $$ and the more they make the more products they can release for more SERIOUS Users...

Why not Sony Users create an Ad campaign for much less than they are paying Taylor Swift... I know if I saw a commercial with REAL USERS made by real users it would go a lot farther in my appeal for that product...

Interesting. Thom thinks Swift's ads do a better job than Kutcher's ads. But the guy needs to get his facts straight. Swift, at 22, is no where near 30. "Both stars are in their 30's"...

The nex and aps-c camera that most of us have are fine... Its the Full-frame alpha mounts that need additional models / Lenses..
