There is a great entry in "The Street Photographer" by infrastellar called
"Waiting"

Did you notice there is a Irish Pub in the background ? and this is in
Dubrovnik, Croatia. Is there an Irish Pub in every city of the World ?
Where have you seen one or better still can you recommend the Guinness ?

I don't have any pics, so I'm not sure this counts, but there are loads of so-called "Irish Pubs" in Romania. Now, finding a good one amongst those...that's another story...

Apparently the Celts reached Croatia in the 4th century BC...

cezari, I did not really expect any pics (although would be nice)
As this is Open Views I believe we are allowed to go 'off subject' occasionally.

I read somewhere Neil Armstrong came across an Irish Pub once in a most unexpected place, I just cannot remember where that was ?

No pics, but there were a couple in Yokosuka, Japan... but the Irish pub I went to in Boston was soooo much better :)

I was in Seville (Sevilla), Spain, for a conference in early February a few years back. There was an Irish pub which put up notices all over the city in English, advertising a Valentine's Day special night.

I chuckled to myself when I thought of Irish & UK couples flying to Seville for a romantic Valentine's day/weekend and ending up celebrating in an Irish pub.

We did of course go to said pub and, although not as far-flung, it was very good! Though drinking copious amounts of whisky for peanuts at the Spanish bars was better :-)

ok, I have a pic for you - this is the Irish Pub in Ushuaia (the southern most city in the world) in Argentina. I took the picture, not because it was an Irish pub but because of the sign advertising the meals and entertainment!! We were a little worried about the opening hours too, LOL

To be serious, we have an Irish Pub in almost every midsize city here....and Munich as well.

Thanks Rosie,

thats great and a geography lesson to boot. Ushuaia ? never heard of it, but now I know it is in Tierra del Fuego and I cannot wait for that to come up in trivial pursuit.

Saw one in Moscow in 1986 - suppose it's still there.
Saw Pele on the same trip drinking with two 'ladies of the night'
