Hi all,

I've been holding off upgrading my A900's for a while, mainly because they're fantastic tools and having not played with an A99 I don't have the any real lust. Also, because I like to have two of the same cameras, and also like them to have decent (RRS) L-plates, it's an expensive upgrade!

I'll be completely honest, I'm in no urgency to do this but should anyone have an A99s and/or L-Plates laying around, and want to turn them into cash, please drop me a PM.

Have now bought the two A99s plus a grip, but still very eager to get hands on two RRS l-plate’s for the A99s. Does no one have one they’re not using?

If all else fails you can still buy new ones.

where from? I can't find them anywhere except direct from RRS in the US - which means adding a pretty hefty import charge on top of a price of roughly $180. Any advice of where to go is appreciated! (Or if anyone is flying US->EU, let me know :)

Hello my friend, do you really want the RRS or have you considered the inexpensive, universal Neewer one ?

Yes, I'm open to cheaper alternatives, although provided that the remote port is accessible. I bought two 'universal' l plates from the brand iron-pig on Amazon but while they're well manufactured and a nice tight fit, they block the remote port, which is pretty essential for me. I Couldnt find any of the Neewer ones for the A99 online though, where should I be looking?

I have one A99 RRS L-plate, that I am not really using since I got an A99ii. I'm also, probably, travelling to Riga at the end of February.
