Welcome to dyxum lens database for a-mount DSLR cameras.
A-mount lens bayonet is first introduced by Minolta for their first generations AF SLR (film) cameras and is used today with ALL Sony a-mount cameras.
A-mount lenses should not be confused with E-mount lenses Sony has introduced with their NEX cameras.
Our lens database (and dyxum site in genereal) is NOT devoted to Sony e-mount system.
Our database contains most of lenses ever made for a-mount (Sony and Minolta AF (D)SLR cameras) including Minolta, Sony, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, Carl Zeiss and other manufacturers.
Here you will find lens specifications, related links, lens images and user submitted lens reviews.
To our knowledge all Minolta and Sony lenses listed in our lens database should work on all Sony Alpha and Konica MInolta DSLR cameras.
Some older Sigma and Tokina lenses listed in our database may not be compatible with mentioned cameras; please consult lens detail page in case we have any additional info about lens compatibility.

And, don't forget that we have a very active forums where you may find answers to your questions.
Aside dyxum you should use mhohner website as your reference website !
If you are aware of some a-mount (Minolta AF / Sony Sony Alpha) lens that is not listed in here, you can submit lens data by yourself. By doing this please include all information you have including web links, lens images and your comments. I will not include lenses with only lens name and very few information.
Since information collected here is from various sources there may be some errors and if you find one of them, I would really appreciate if you can notify me about them.
Only registered dyxum members can submit lens reviews
I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who have provided help of any kind in making this database, especially to all dyxum members who have shared their experiences by reviewing their lenses.
