positive:Very versatile.
Gives fantastic results wihtout the need for PP.
Good looking.
Fantastic quality optics.
Accepts filters.
Well built, good packaging.
Handy aperture disk case and lensbaby bag (all included).
Can be used on fullframe (35mm) aswell as APS-C frame.
negative:Full user guide only available over the net.
Aperture can only be changed by inserting/removing discs.
Filter thread too small, thus compatable filters are rare.
Needs to be 35mm focal length as standard.
comment:An absolutly essential piece of kit for any advanced-amateur or professional. Great for getting a new aspect on objects, especially product shots. It was extreemly well packaged and came with a good quality lens cap and a soft, but well finished holder bag. The optics are truly fantastic and supress any of my lenses for sharpness and resolution. Colour reproduction could be improved though, with saturation lacking.
The greatest advantage this lens poses over conventional lenses, is that it gives the photographer almost unlimited creative options. One can either use it as an almost conventional lens using an aperture of around f5.6 onwards or choose to use it in a "holgaesque" manner, with vignetting, blown out highlights and very selective focus.
Highly recommended!
