comment:This is the lens that sold me on Sony. After swaying from Canon I had an A65 kit. Soon after purchase I went back to the store and tried the A77 after reading up on extra features. Once I tried A77 kit I was completely hooked. The focus is fast and crisp. A year and many lenses later, this is still a great pair. I finally upgraded to full frame, and regret this combo isn't getting used as much now. I feel my copy of 16-50 gives better IQ than my Minolta 20 but not fair to compare to the 50mm f1.4. If you need a solid APS-C walkaround lens, this is it.
