positive:+Price
+CA is reduced when shot at narrower apertures.
+Macro Function
+Wide zoom range.
negative:-Noticeable CA when shot with aperture fully open.
-Cheap build
comment:This lens will not do you a lot of good in contrasty light when shot wide open. I managed to make most of the bad CA less pronounced at about f10. This would be a great start out lens for someone on a budget. With the wide zoom range and the macro function, its a great way to have the most options on little investment.

positive:Absolutely nothing!
negative:You name it and it exists!
comment:Buy this one if you don't know what CA means. I can't understand why someone like Tamron has made lens like this. The quality control has been blind or drunken. This lens must be bad joke!

price paid:55 USD (used)
positive:Cheap
negative:Plastic, very high CA, creep, large filters
comment:I got this lens for $55 on Ebay and sold it shortly thereafter. For an Asph, IF, LD lens the performance was terrible. Very soft at 200 and colors were dull and washed out. Mid-range it was similar sharpness to the Sigma but CA was noticeably worse.

price paid:80USD
positive:Versitile.
negative:Blurry, Start from F4 instead of F3.8 in alpha. Dull looking colour. Plastic, Heavy
comment:I don't recommend you this lense if you looking for a sharp lense. But if you are in need of a wide range of focal lengths this could help. Higher F numbers help a bit but still very blurry and distorted in areas.
