positive:1:2 macro switch, quite fast, AF works with x1,4 and x1,7 TC
negative:Not very sharp
comment:I once had this lens. It's quite similar in size and weight to more popular Sigma 70-300 DL and shares similar 1:2 macro feature. Thanks to better speed it is useful with 1,4-1,7x TC in AF mode, thus you can reach almost 1:1 macro. Sharpness is not that great wide open, you should close it to F8-F11 to achieve really good results. Anyway, you can do some nice portrait work with this lens too.

comment:This was one of my first lenses for the Dynax 700si. I have had a lot fun with it and did some really nice shots with that film camera.

On the A200 AF was hunting a lot and it seemed to me that the results were not really sharp, so i changed it for a used beercan and that was really a good decision. The beercan is some steps ahead in AF and sharpness.

It has a switch to allow for macro shooting up to 1:2 scale, but here I advise to use manual focus because the camera sometimes focusses from one extreme to the other which needs some time...
