HI,
I have damaged the lens hood of the Minolta 200mm f2.8 APO lens. Does anyone know how I can remove the lens hood? |

The integral lens hood of the MinAF 200/2.8 cannot be removed that easily and especially from the front, instead you have to dismantle the lens starting from the back side by removing lens mount and then bit by bit.
For sure this will help |

Me too, but it has been a while since I tore mine apart. The tear down is comparable to other prime lenses, and relatively easy. The main difference (and challenge) is the wires that are mentioned and shown in the photos in the hyperlinked website. I recall having to de-solder and re-solder them, but it seems that they were able to work around the need to do so. |
