This is the voting thread for the exhibition of the 2022 Oktoberfest challenge.

All Dyxum members are encouraged to vote!

Please use this thread to vote for your favorite entries of each participant!

Voting will be open for a sufficient period of time.

You might use the option of adding comments as well, but on the line following your votes - please keep it within the format to make counting easier.
And please do not respond to comments directly in this thread! In case you wan to respond to comments please return to the Talk Thread for that purpose.

What should you do now?

1) Go to the Thumbnail thread.
2) For each participant, pick your favorites. Please identify your choice by date or number/identifier used by the participant.
3) Post your votes here. You can award up to two photos by assigning 3 points to the one you like best and 1 point to the second one. You can award only one photo if you like; in that case give either 3 points or 1 point to that photo. Copy the template from below, give your votes and please stick to the format (to give some examples):

username1: 3pts: 8
username1: 1pt: 6
Comments: add your comment here

username2: 3pts: 12
username2: 1pt: 24
Comments: add your comment here
.
.
.
etc
4) Feel free to add comments, but please keep to the format!
5) Feel free to reply to the comments people give you, but please use the Talk Thread for your response!
6) Have fun!

Thank you for voting!

At the end of this, we'll count all the votes and have an exhibition of the challenge's best photos of each participant.

P.S. If the thumbnails are correct, Ctrl-clicking on them will open the original posting full size in a new window.

P.P.S. Vote for yourself if you want to - you're allowed an opinion on which was your own favourite.
You can see the April Foolishness 2022 exhibition here Another great show of the talent we have on Dyxum

I have to say that it was enjoyable hour spent on reviewing all those shots. Good work everybody!

My points and comments:

Jozioau 3 pts: 25
Jozioau 1 pt: 30
comment: At first the 25 seems unimpressive - just ordinary daily things - but that's the strength of the photo at the same time - it tells a story

gregja 3 pts: 25
gregja 1 pt: 23
comment: Who can resist bubbles? ;) Plus special mention for DPE!

Dopol 3 pts: 31
Dopol 1 pt:
comment: I'm a sucker for good bokeh but Eeyore was competing with it ;)

minolta_mutley 3 pts: 9
minolta_mutley 1 pt: 1
comment: I like the texture of the wood. That's pity you decided to use 150mm - #1 would be better at 500 ;)

pegelli 3 pts: 2
pegelli 1 pt: 4
comment: Two completely different lenses, completely different type of subjects - hard to decide which is better, but that bokeh ...

onsplekkie 3 pts: 18
onsplekkie 1 pt:19
comment: I would say that 18 is a classic, but 19 "bought" me by the dynamism

Harm vb 3 pts: 23
Harm vb 1 pt: 10
comment: That addition of the flower makes the photo on 23. On 10 - I liked lighting and colours. Hot oil indeed.

alanfrombangor 3 pts: 30
alanfrombangor 1 pt: 28
comment: 30 wins hands down - it has it all: vintage atmosphere and feel. 28 - astonishing perspective and composition.

Snegren 3 pts: 8
Snegren 1 pt: 19
comment: Here I really had hard call to choose only two. And then to decide which should get 3 pts. Oh well.

LAbernethy 3 pts: 2
LAbernethy 1 pt: 3
comment: I knew shich one to give 3pts immediately after I saw it :) But the 3rd one is very good as well.

Robbie 3 pts: 6
Robbie 1 pt: 19
comment: I do not like this custom of locking padlocks on bridges, but they look good on your photo :) 19 is very interesting composition.

mariuszlo 3 pts: 10
mariuszlo 1 pt: 15
comment: I loved the sunrise but then - autumn colours are great as well.

Phil Wood 3 pts: 6
Phil Wood 1 pt: 1
comment: Many interesting shots in the series. The first one immediately got my attention, but then when reviewing cvarefully I liked 6 more. I wish those cares were a bit hot-rod-ish ...

AsD 3 pts: 9
AsD 1 pt: 5
comment: I like B&W treatment. Composition on #9 caught my eye - somehow it works very well

addy landzaat 3 pts: 18
addy landzaat 1 pt: 16
comment: I found #18 very mysterious, but then I saw your title - fits the photos very well :) Then, well, guess what, a cat person like me, could possibly choose as the second shot? ;)

Fred_S 3 pts: 19
Fred_S 1 pt: 18
comment: Many good shots in the series, but none can compete with the atrmosphere on #19 - maybe #18 a bit with its nice contrast and colours ...
I'm noise-blind. And noise-about-noise-deaf too ... |   BTW, Dyxum Weekly Exhibitions don't grow on trees ...

Jozioau 3 pts: 25
Jozioau 1 pt: 4
comment: St Dalfour jam, lovely! Looks a proper French breakfast with presumably espresso. I like the newspaper under the spread too, but would have preferred to see either the whole of the jar lid or none of it. Good to see some southern hemisphere floral brightness too.

gregja 3 pts: 10
gregja 1 pt: 26
comment: Difficult to choose favourites, an intriguing set.

Dopol 3 pts: 16
Dopol 1 pt: 4
comment: Another strong set, the fungi make such an arresting image so an easy favourite.

minolta_mutley 3 pts: 1
minolta_mutley 1 pt: 30
comment: Too far away for a good cormorant shot but #1 is so reminiscent of old newspaper photos accompanying Loch Ness monster claims.

pegelli 3 pts: 25
pegelli 1 pt: 8
comment: Suitably gloomy for its purpose, and a freight train perfectly caught. I thought the boat in #6 was an ugly apartment block at first glance.
Good variety of topics.

onsplekkie 3 pts: 29
onsplekkie 1 pt: 18
comment: Consistently high standard makes choosing a top two difficult.

Harm vb 3 pts: 03
Harm vb 1 pt: 17
comment: Your photography has vastly improved sincd joining Dyxum. I like the composition in #17 but the lovely slice of domesticity takes the prize.

alanfrombangor 3 pts: 28
alanfrombangor 1 pt: 30
comment: Always hard choosing my own favourite.

Snegren 3 pts: 8
Snegren 1 pt: 4
comment: #8 is a clear winner amongst a very fine set of images. I'm jealous of your perfect fly agaric, they're always bitten or decaying when I see them.

LAbernethy 3 pts: 4
LAbernethy 1 pt: 2
comment: Good to see Leonard Cohen honoured also.

Robbie 3 pts: 6
Robbie 1 pt: 21
comment: Good variety of shapes and colours in the locks, bridge engineers will be disappointed that this craze continues. Wind power in the distance also in #21.

mariuszlo 3 pts: 10
mariuszlo 1 pt: 31
comment: Nice variety of city life interspersed with outings into the countryside. So much for the eye to linger on in #31 but the silhouette against the sunrise pips it.

Phil Wood 3 pts: 12
Phil Wood 1 pt: 20
comment: An interesting and varied collection. #12 is an unpromising subject but your emphasis on the textures of the weathered concrete post and the metal clasps make for a compelling image.

comment:Lots of colourful flowers and crisp Melbourne slices of life with the occasional still life, all very well executed. The soft focus of the fern is a standout. Thanks for the diligent, thoughtful commenting too!

comment: A lovely shot of the fern, if options were limited, you chose well. I'm tempted to agree with @alanfrombangor re the partial lid but still very good. Also a nice cameo from Summer and congratulations on your award.

comment: A tough choice but I ended up with two black and whites. I can almost hear the train coming in 25 and I've lost count of how many times I ended up in the bottom rh corner of 21. Kudos as always for the thumbnail art.
