Glad to see it made it in good condition @Bonneville!

Also I am noticing that my writing follows my astigmatism up and to the right

The Night Heron is one of my favorite local birds, but they're a rare find. Even moreso as a juvenile.

Very excited to receive my first card (and the first to cross the equator?). From bonneville, a well composed image of the intriguing 'House in the Clouds'. The card itslef is in perfect nick too. Thanks Brian!

Here are the two cards that arrived yesterday:

Harm's card has some damages on the front but not many. It's a nice macro shot of a mushroom. Of particular interest to me was the custom stamp, I have never seen one in person before, and it's a very good looking one too :)

Card from Howard arrived unscathed, perfect condition. And from one of my favourite photo series from Dyxum too! Again, customization is present - it seems like the whole card is done by Howard but it looks like produced professionally.

Thank you for those! I am intrigued on both of them - how do to produce your own stamp and how do you produce your own postcard? :)

Thanks you, and Welcome.
The stamp is made of the photo of my personal avatar on my laptop: our 2cv in France.

The stamp was made especially for the DPE.

I think Harm has answered the stamp question; my stamp is the standard British one for international mail to 100g; what's new is that King Charles III is the monarch on the stamps, not Queen Elizabeth. All stamps now have this ridiculous bar code attached, I don't know why! I produced the card using CeWe - their software lets you produce your own backing text as well as the photo on the front.

Sorry for being late but I can confirm receipt of cards from bonneville, KoBra64, MartyMoose and jvsanchez. No time to scan yet and I'm leaving for another week and after coming back from Scotland I haven't had time to produce the cards I need to send out either. Tomorrow I leave for another 10 days so I hope to find time to be a more "engaged participant" in this wonderful challenge after I'm back the last week of oktober. Sorry for this big delay

My fifth postcard landed today. This one from Heikki (@Hezu) in Finland.

This photo shows some kayakers and eiders seen from Vuosaari:

Very good condition but for a single machine scratch on the front and the franking has virtually missed the stamp in favour of the top third of the card! Still readable though:

Thanks Heikki

This brings my current tally to:
5+1 sent - All recorded as arrived
5+2 expected - 5 received

Nice to hear that my cards are already arriving!

And I have to mention that for the next week or so, I am not going to report any card arrivals as I'm away from Helsinki.
