Yesterday, despite outbreaks of rain I spent some time at Burleigh House and Park in Stamford to stroll around the sculpture garden* with my Sony a7R4A and Dynax 9. I finished the 36 roll B&W and plan to develop and scan it this week as my first contribution to the 2023-24 Film Challenge.

Here are a selection of images from the 7R4 with FE 24-70 f2.8 GM and hopefully they wonít duplicate too many from the film shoot.

Part 1 of 3:

01. A chip off the old block

02. Fossil garden

03. Snailís pace

04. Rusty face

06. Rusty rain shower

07. To bee or not to bee

08. Steamy entrance

I like #9, the wet gamble ;) I hope there was some alternative way...

Thank you. There was no other way, but the water stopped for a few seconds, at random times, to let people escape!

And get the 9 without delay if you can. It really was the finest 35mm film camera ever produced, by any manufacturer.

Interesting post featuring some fine sculpture in its landscaped setting.
Attractively presented.
Thanks for sharing.

Why? Check E-bay, Allegro or OLX. You still can get it.

Beautiful series, Brian. I am waiting to see the difference between analog and digital. TFS

Thank you for your comments, it really does make it all worthwhile.

I too, Jack, am looking forward to see how the film compares. I tried not to duplicate every frame although a few offered little variation in positioning. Hopefully they will emerge from the gloop this weekend.

A very nice set, Brian, with a well deserved representative in the weekly exhibition - all well done. I look forward to seeing the Dynax 9ís contribution.

Ah Howard, unfortunately this was the roll that became a disaster.

Thanks for the tour, Brian, and the link to the Merrells game explanation, are visitors allowed to play? I like the idea of having to risk a soaking to leave the garden

Commiserations, Brian. At least the camera is OK and survives for the next outing. I must get mine loaded up!
