@Tonrow: Your entry is a pass. The in-focus flower is on the lower-left intersection and the curve in the flower stem is close to a "golden spiral".

@Dash66: Dave, yours is close enough for a pass. The shot might have been better if you had placed the subject head squarely at the intersection (cropping in one direction is allowed).

Cheers... Brian

Hello, this is my first assignment attempt, I just noticed this part of forum and I thought I could learn something. Do I have to announce somewhere I'm going to undertake the assignment or just post the picture without prior notice? If the latter, here is my proposal: Beza the cat, feeling a little bit angry - shot just a moment ago.

@voigtkampff: Hi Andrzej, and welcome to the assignments! While the subject stands with or without the ROT, you have place the cat's head reasonably well. You get a pass to your next assignment.

Cheers... Brian

Here are my two submissions for this assignment. I got my Sony α57 today. No post photo action has taken place. Just the camera shots.

This is a water tower at the old mill in Monroe, GA

Southern Dad, welcome to Dyxum and congrats on your new A57.
You're doing quite well with it, both shots ara a pass for ROT, both the water tower tank as well as the plane are right at one of the intersections. So on to your next one!

While the statue is placed at about 1/3, there is no strong subject on the intersections (for instance the head) in it to really say this is a strong enough ROT assignment, so pls. try again.

How about this one with the flower in focus being the strong subject?

@JasonKing: Jason, there is no subject at a ROT intersection. Please try again.

Cheers... Brian

Awesome assignment, although I can't seem to follow basic instructions to make the image available. Believe me, I'd delete the post as a waste of space but the option doesn't seem available.

An inauspicious beginning. -- Outis
