Hi everyone,

Perhaps not a music hall as I would know it, it's correct title is Palau de la Música Catalana and is typical of Catalan design; it is also a UNESCO World heritage site. It is a glorious riot of colour with great use being made of ceramic tiles throughout the building. I hope you like the following selection from the tour:

1. Ceiling Ceramics

2. Stairway

3. Glowing Supports

4. Glimpse of the Stage

5. Faces in the Ceiling

6. Players

7. Organ Amphitheatre

8. Setting the Stage

9. Audiences Domain

10. Ceiling Glass

11. Stage and Piano

12. Music Hall Amphitheatre

A few more will follow with some specific details. Thanks for looking and comments always welcomed.

Best regards, Neil.

Sumptuous and glorious, and beautifully captured by you Neil.
Am enjoying your Barcelona postings immensely.

It is not a Music Hall, but a Music Palace
Nice pictures, #8 being my favourite. TFS.

Another excellent set Neil, bringing back great memories. It has been one of the most fascinating buildings I have visited. Being there was a feeling that nobody can capture in a picture, but you did very well in recording this beautiful place! I people have a chance, go and visit this place.

A great place and a gret photographic document of it!

I particularly like the shots of the glass ceiling - #5 and #10. I think of #12 as the perfect photographic document of that place!

TFS and all the best!

I love simplicity in images and a centered composition which frequently works best to my eye, especially so with symmetrical subjects, so #'s 5 and 11 are striking. And #5 being absolutely perfectly centered, such attention to detail, is a bonus because with such a geometric image just being a little bit off center can be quite distracting.

These are awesome! Rarely have I wanted to go so badly to a place after seeing the photos. I'd love to see a piano concert here, man what an experience that would be! Number 12 is my favorite. I like the symmetry of 11 but when I see 12 and how you captured the curvature of the upper balcony I've got to give it the nod.

Wow! They are all wonderful photos, but #12 really shows the scale and grandeur of the hall. Well done, Neil.

+1 - changed my mind from 11 to 12.

A true owenn series! Thank you for showing us the beauty (and extravagance) of this Palau! The Faces in the Ceiling is one of my faves, also because I know how difficult it is to get such a photo right.

What a building, what a fine set of images. Your series shows very well the richness of details of this wonderful building. My favorite is #12. TFS
