I already posted a wide angle view of this bird in Day Prime thread, but in case the bird was not properly identifiable in that picture, here is another picture taken with a longer lens:

@LAbernethy - those are two beautifully taken birds, and the "winter's ember" is stunning. Well done and TFS.

The lighting on the face of that winters ember is fantastic LAbernethy.

This is Fred (or Freda?), the hooded crow, he can recognize me on my way into work and swoops over each morning for some crumbs or nuts when it is cold.

Here he is being kind enough to pose for a portrait in front of the FE2.8/90mm macro with a bit of a background desaturation and dodge & burn in post

Mysterious Fred

Here he is looking like Fred.

Would you be annoyed if I suggest cloning out the right branch or at least burning the highlights there?

I have been practicing shooting handheld. Only one of us shooters who is using a d7200 and Tamron 150-600 can shoot at 1/15 speed ..

The 70-400 is very sharp...only too pity neither of my Kenko or Sigma 1.4x cannot be used with it.
