Very nice, Ken!

Eatern bluebird (I think - please correct if I'm wrong).

A99 plus beercan. Heavy crop.

More Dyxumer, less photographer.

We had a little snow today, but not a lot of light. The birds were looking for food in the snow.

I only post this because I thought the pairing of these two big birds rather odd... they were on branches only about 2 feet away from each other and seemed quite calm about the proximity!

An extreme crop of a shot taken in very poor light.

A raven chumming with an almost grown Bald Eagle

The Odd Couple

A little earlier, in better light, my one keeper from a new spot.

@ Jens G. The Robin shot is Christmas card worthy - exceptional

@ Mike. Here you often see Ravens chasing off eagles but I have never seen them share a roost before - great catch mate. The duck is a beautiful shot too.

Mike: although I am not into bird photography I've noticed that your images of birds are superb.

Now that Steve mentioned christmas card worthyness of the last robin shot I posted, here is another that I have worked a little on. Masked and background partly replaced with clean white.
Unfortunately there wasn't a lot of light, so there is too much noise and too little sharpness when seen at full size for commercial use. But at the size I post here, it's fine :-)

It was shot at ISO 640, but I had to increase exposure more than a stop in post.

@ Jens G - nice work on producing a clean background the expression on the Robin looks like he is saying "bah humbug" so I guess that is worthy of a Christmas card - lol.

A few recent ones for me the first two in extreme shade so I had to push the shadows a bit...

Juvenile Rufous Treecreeper

Common Bronzewing Pigeon

The following two were taken in much better light.

Western Yellow Robin

Thanks MUCH Svjetlana!!
For that last one I was lying on the ground hoping not to get too muddy. hehe - I lucked out with the foreground blurring in a complementary way - not always the case I have found with foreground bokeh.

@Jens Love the grumpy "christmas" card.

@ Steve Love that yellow robin!! Such a great pose and perch! My monitor at work does not show the first two well - have to look at home. The black swan is an exotic for me - very cool and creepy looking. You caught some nice light on its head and creepy red eye.

Regards to all

Mike
