The greatest thing you can say about a person is that he had a great heart.
Brettania sure had it.

A sad day indeed for both his direct family and his 'extended' family here on Dyxum..As a guiding light and an active founding member from the start, his influence and persona are throughout the site and much of what we see and use today are a reflection of his and Mladen's thoughts and ideas. We owe him much as a membership.

My thoughts go out to many people at this difficult time; clearly to his family where he will leave a big gap in people's lives there. To the Admin team here on Dyxum who will have to deal with the passing of that talent and influence; to the membership here who knew of Cam, had contact with him and who came to admire and appreciate his influence and comments. And finally, we should also spare some time for Mladen (aka Kiklop), our other 'founder father' here who worked so closely with Cameron from the very start to build this site to what it is today. Spare a thought for someone who has also lost a brother.

Cam - you will be missed but never, ever forgotten. Rest well, dear friend, and may you have your best ever light for ever more.

    Neil.
My Mantra: "Comment on other's work as you would wish to have yours commented upon". Go on - it's fun!

I am sorry to hear these sad news! We should all keep up the good spirit he created in this forum, it would be in brettania's interest!

Cam, you could be brutally honest, but always kind-hearted. So many of us here see the world differently, and better, for your generous insight and thoughtful guidance. May your spirit live on in all we do in this community and in the world at large. The debt we owe to you, we will pay forward in your memory.

I've been thinking of Cam all day. Not only was he an important member of our community, but he was a caring and generous person. He'll surely be missed here, and back home as well. It's a testament to his passion and his personality that so many people from all over the world, most of whom have never actually met him, have already shared such nice thoughts about how much they liked and respected Cameron.

Neil said that Cam would be "missed but never, ever forgotten," and I think that's exactly true. Cam's messages will remain in the archives, but also remember that he contributed in so many invisible ways to Dyxum aside from his direct postings. In truth, his presence will continue to influence the spirit, structure and community here at Dyxum for many years to come.

My sincere condolences to Cameron's immediate family, extended family and not so small army of friends.

There is little I can add in remembrance of the great Man that has not already been said except perhaps, "Kia Kaha" (Be Brave) as I am sure Cam would have wished and encouraged us all to be.

    RIP Great Man.

Sad news indeed. I first "met" him at DP Review and found out about Dyxum from there.
He will be missed here, more so at home, I'm sure. Condolences to all. I count myself lucky to have known him.

NZ, in-flight magz (any flight, any magz, anywhere when I am travelling), countdown to the New Year's, those are the things that somehow would get my brain associated to Cam/ Brettania. don't know why. maybe its part of his legacy for me from this community as I too much lurk around here.

Isn't it amazing that, through a website established in Central Europe, we all from all over the world can be affected by the death of a member in New Zealand. Of course we shall miss Cam, but this site is part of his legacy.
