The entry bridge to Fort IV in Mortsel



It's a fixed bridge now, but when the Fort was operational it was a drawbridge that could be pulled up in case the fort was attacked from the rear.
In one of the towers at the entrance part of the draw mechanism is still in place

Series of abstracts or details from a former railway bridge called Belmar Bridge, in Western Pennsylvania, USA. It crosses the Allegheny River, and has been turned into a bicycle/walking/running path. All except #5 were taken with A900 and Minolta 85/1.4, the #5 was same camera with Minolta 24/2.8.
