Photos taken on my recent visit to Segovia, famous for its remarkably intact Roman aqueduct, and also important in its own historic context.
This selection is from a wider set viewable in the Spain album on my FlickrPro site.

All a99ii with either CZ 16-35mm or CZ 24-70mm Vario-Sonnars. C&C most welcome.

1. The structure is all dry-laid, no mortar between the stones.

A very nice city Joe, only a pity the weather didn't seem to fully cooperate with you. The aquaduct is indeed very impressive, amazing they built this without mortar and it's still standing some 2000 years later # 3 is the top shot for me on that. 14 and 15 almost look like a German town. Other favourites are 17 and 13.

I'm really enjoying your European trip through your eyes, some new places and some places I have visited in the past. Thanks for sharing all these and taking the time to process and post them while being "on the road".
Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here

Wow, the aqueduct images are stunning, Joe - particularly #1 and #3- Lovely set - the sykline, #17, is another outstanding image, IMO.

TFS!

Pieter, in the 3 weeks I spent in Spain this was the only day we had rain, so I can't really complain!
I do have some bright and sunny photos from here taken on my last visit in July 1970 with my Minolta SRT101 on Ektachrome film, and of course the aqueduct hasn't changed one bit.
