Few hours ago it started to snow and I started to dream about shooting some pictures of flowers covered by snow and then I got the idea: I have the macro flash, why should I wait for the morning. So, I went out and unfortunately the slope where these flowers grow was too dark to spot the common hepatica, but oxlips was easier to find and plenty. Sadly, I struggled with getting (manual) focusing right and to certain degree also exposure/lighting, but at least I got one photo that I am somewhat satisfied with - I had to crop from the bottom to get slightly better composition, although sure the whole top most flower should have been in the frame...

HK90.4 Oxlip

α7R III + Sony FE 2.8/90 Macro G OSS + Metz 15 MS-1 Digital (+ Sony HVL-F20AM as commander) @ 90 mm, f/10, 1/160 s, ISO 3200

90-6: Wish it were true

Thanks Pieter! Indeed the last three are Sweet and Sugar.
In return I like your barn door shot a lot, but the whole series is nice.
Time enough to get fit isn't it?

Few more flower macros:

Helsinki got thin snow cover this morning, but sadly I wasn't fast enough and when I got outside the sunshine had melted most of the snow, but at least there was some water decorating flowers...

HK90.5 Liverwort

α7R III + Sony FE 2.8/90 Macro G OSS @ 90 mm, f/8, 1/125 s, ISO 4000

HK90.6 Kidneywort and oxlip

α7R III + Sony FE 2.8/90 Macro G OSS @ 90 mm, f/8, 1/125 s, ISO 500

...but alas, little later more snow was falling from the sky, there was even brief blizzard and now I finally had proper chance to get pictures of snow covered spring flowers!

HK90.7 Snow covered oxlip

α7R III + Sony FE 2.8/90 Macro G OSS @ 90 mm, f/8, 1/100 s, ISO 500

HK90.8 Oxlips and snow

α7R III + Sony FE 2.8/90 Macro G OSS @ 90 mm, f/8, 1/100 s, ISO 500

HK90.9 Snow covered pennywort

Yes, #7 & #9 have been cropped from sides.
