Now i received my extra shot, so from next thursday on, more is possible (it only takes 8 days to get the full protection for an extra shot).

A Dyxum prime meet with long glass seems like a very nice idea (and being able to contribute with some lenses...).

And having an abbo to enter the zoo whenever i like (i even have 2 free tickets i can print out, i do hope that offer from the Zoo is still available though...).

So from now on until december 31 it's "everything over 300 goes"

Next year we'll do that as of day 300 (oktober 27, 2022)

If people still want to do some day/week primes in line with the old rules that's fine as well (it's already day 305 today) and the exact table until the end of the year can still be found in the 2nd post of this thread.

Comments/questions welcome

Clear but I have one question: It remains zoom ends, right?

Yup, any prime or zoom end over 300 mm is fair game as far as I'm concerned.

No change there, as long as you reach > 300 mm with a base lens of > 135 mm.

Yay! More reason to use the big lenses. I will note that Sony is now selling a lens for day 350.

I am culling 2,900 photos from this past Sunday happily all with a 300mm zoom, not all at the zoom end.

There is a RF500 for sale too, which seems considerably lower priced than the average RF250. I am not that familiar with those lenses, but there must be a good reason for such a price difference?

I imagine it is because it is the shortest mirror lens and therefore the most useable. For longer FLs there are alternatives, for the 250 not (unless you consider 300 mm).

And while I was buying the RF 250 I though I might as well get me a RF 500 as well as they are very affordable and so I got one.

Same group "top down" (focus stack of two photos to get the fly in focus)

All A7ii + Tamron 70-300 LD telemacro @ 300 mm

My other 300 zoom end and 400 prime shots still need to be taken
