And, just to make sure you know, there is no rule on Dyxum that forbids the use of primes outside their day prime week

Thanks Pieter, it's great to know I can you use all of my lenses all of the time!

Nice work Mariusz and Paul, the Zeiss is indeed very smooth (as is the Sigma), the Meyer is a tad wilder, let's call it character

A bit of non-macro with my 180

180-4: Castle Zoerselhof

180-5: Fence detail

180-6: Farmers protest against the new Nitrogen emission limits

All A7ii + LA-EA4 + Sigma 180/3.5 telemacro

I managed to shoot a few (faded) flowers on my way home after work. The light wasn't great, but the forecast for tomorrow is pretty poor.

FS-180.2

We almost finished week 28 and already passed week 27. Together good for focal length between resp. 191 to 197 mm and 184 to 190 mm. Just in case someone has one of those lenses and happened to use them in the right week the photos can still be posted here.

Tomorrow we start week 29, for focal length between 198 and 204 mm and hopefully we'll see some more action here, two famous Minolta's come to mind, the 200/2.8 APO and the 200/4 macro but there's plenty of choice from other brands as well and don't forget the zoom ends.

I have 5 200 mm primes and hope to use them next week in combination with the color challenge.

Great idea to double dip a 200, now I'll have to look for color!

My only 200 prime/zoomend, Minolta MC Tele Rokkor-QF 200/3.5 cross post for the Side Light DPC

1 Me And My Shadow

2 Peek

Cross post for Yellow outtakes

3 Susan's bottom

I grabbed the helicoid intending to do close-focus macro ... I forgot that for most telephoto lenses, extension tubes and helicoids don't change MFD much ... for this lens MFD is a little less than 3 meters, with the helicoid fully extended MFD is still around 2 meters.
This framing is what I intended, but to get focus I had to back up so far the yellow was a dot, so I kept the framing, and did a lot of contrast sliders to give it some kind of form.
There is a difference between a shaky or out-of-focus photograph and a snapshot of clouds and fog banks. - Schrödinger
