D10 One last shot of Loch Fada (the rain just reached us)

The next stop was the Bride's Veil Falls.
The rain that fell earlier made it a considerable stream.

D11: Veils as seen from the road

D12: and the whole stream

With Peter somewhere in the middle busy capturing the veil

D13: Here the falls are frozen somewhat using 14 stacked photos i.s.o. one ND-filter

All under a heavy clouded sky

Great start on the isle guys, I like that we were standing high enough that in F16 and D7 the tree on the island is separated from the background. But F17 and D10 take the cake for me.

I thought we were all travelling in the same car together, but I'm still back in North Queensferry at the moment

p14: Panorama covering all three bridges (similar to D5, but "unsqueezed")

A6000 + E10-18/4, LR pano of 4 handheld photos

P15: Side view of the Forth bridge

P16: Full view

P17: Tugboats framed by pillars

P18: Multiple modes of transport possible across the Firth of Forth

P19: Unloading the tourboat

15 & 16: A7ii + Tamron 28-200 Di III RXD
17, 18 & 19: A7Rii + Sony FE 70-300G

My next shots will be from the island as well, I will try to find some (slightly) different viewpoints.

I like P18. How it stresses the LARGE size of the bridge, compared to the small size of the train

Thanks!
It took us a while to get there due to covid, but I can absolutely recommend it!
This was just the start of the first day on the island, and I felt my trip was a success already, but there is more to come

Thanks, Fred!

Thanks Howard! I read about that tree indeed. The good news is that there are even more nicely placed trees on this island, so keep watching this thread

The Bride's Veil Fall was a good place too. A place where you can keep on shooting.

Mine are a bit less warm than Domien's

F20 The wider view

F21 And still sight on the old man

F22 I brought my (variable) ND filter

F23

F24 Somebody was watching us

F25

All except p21: A7ii + Tamron 28-200 Di III RXD
p21: A7Rii + Sony FE 70-300G

Good to see you catch up Pieter. And with some nice pictures too.
P24 deserves a fixed place on your PC. And P28 would be worthy too.
Let's move further North. Skye Island has a long line of Cliffs in the North-West, with some falls. That's where we went.

D14 Cliffs

D15 View from the cliffs

Pieter and Fred quarreling about the best composition

D16 Fish Farm

D17 More cliff views

D18: Ideal weather: sun where you are, rain elsewhere
