In Florida to visit mom. Travel kit this time is Rokkor-X 50/1.7 and 28/2.8 (both MDiii with 49mm threads) on a tilt adapter + a7c, Laowa 9/2.8, and little Sony HX80 for supertele/flash/snapshots.

First, let's take a drive

1 empty crest

2 Following along the coast

3 long bridge

4 the world passes at 65mph

5 Green Paint

I tried for a long time to make the whole frame work, eventually I figured out I was only in love with this part of it, so this is a 4megapixel crop from the center.
I went through all the demosaicing algorithms in RawTherapee and I still haven't been able to get rid of the pixels. Next is Oilify in GMIP I guess. I wonder if the vaunted X-Trans non-Bayer sensor from Fuji would be different? I think the Foveon sensor from Sigma died a long time ago.

6 Next stop Apalachicola

7 it's a long straight bridge

slight split tone in addition to other sliders

all these 50/1.7 at f5.6/8 I think

Have been on that bridge in #7 many, many times. If still in the area be sure to visit Richard Bickel's gallery on the north side of the main street, right downtown. And, take a mini-trip to St. George Island on the other end of the bridge (maybe headed that way in #1?).

Another Floridian here. State is very diverse. Enjoy your time. Was better when it was not so crowded but obviously words out

Thanks! Even the Panhandle is more crowded now. #1 is out of order, it's the bridge over the Intracoastal in Port St Joe.

Experiments

8 Palm (copying Dena)

1/8sec

9 Water Dunes

1/8sec

10 Cormorants flying to roost

1/15sec

11 Big Cloud, Big Color

1/30sec
I tried to make the color accurate but failed, so I went with pink instead of red

12 more Green Paint

1/20sec

13 Distant Trees

1/3sec

Great visual travelogue, Paul! So far #1, 11 and 12 are my absolute favorites!

Have a good time!

Errata

14 Tilted Lighthouse

max tilt at f2.8 I think?

15 Old Court

hood removed from the APS-C lens, this is a 13megapixel crop so a 30% bigger frame than designed, I like the black corners

16 Southern Paper Wasp

28mm reversed

17 Many miles away there's a shadow on the door of a cottage on the Shore of a [S]dark Scottish lake[/S] bright Florida Gulf.

No trip to Florida is complete without sunset pictures!

18 Rainbow Clouds

No way for a camera to convey the subtle colors, and how they oscillated

19 Lips in the Sky

20 Holding Hands

21 Embrace

22 Palm ss

old fashioned HDR, I took a 5 frame bracket and cut around only two of them in layers, most is the -1 frame, the detail in the root ball is from the +1 frame

23 the sun sets on another

macro reversed Rokkor-X 28/2.8; my adapter is direct 49mm threads to E mount, skipping the SR mount flange distance; a reversed 28mm with the correct flange distance is about 2:1 macro, but this is only about 1:1, and it is one stop faster than the correct flange distance due to less light lost around the edge of the sensor, as measured by the meter on the camera.
