Some more of this big Laetiporus sulphureus in our street.
This time in the warm light of the setting sun, which really makes the colour of the fungi stand out and almost glow.

I'm no expert on fungi, but have often been frustrated with photographing forest fungi here with the light problems. The new macro twin flash is giving me some options to address this with directional and diffused lights.

I think fungi are mysterious 'creatures' and I like to portray them in that way.

I took these for Oktoberfest, with the NEX-5N + Summar 50/2.0, a more than 70 years old lens.

I believe this is a Polypore-species shelf fungus.

A330, Tamron 60 F2 Macro, Aperture Priority, F/14, ISO200, +2EV, built-in flash
Just an old A-mount dinosaur, mostly now using an RX10m4.
