I think the upgrade in camera is reasonable Howard. It's not a great extravagance and you have a good use-case.

Also, congratulations Harm, that sounds like a bit of a dream job. Mahi tika ana!

I will be beating GAS once again this month, by the expedient of buying a house. We went unconditional on our offer today.

Thank you guys, it is just for 1 day per week, but is a very attractive job to teach children in the age of 14-16 years about our hobby or profession.

One drawback: they use N***n-equipment .

Kai, all the best with your new home!

I discovered M42...

Bought a adapter NEX-M42, a 50mm f1,8 Pentacon (with a not so smoothly moving focusring, to be brought back and replaced), a 28mm f2.8 Pentor without diaphragm-blades (just € 2,50), a Panagor 200mm f3.5 including box and this one works very fine.
Also a Leica/Leitz Dimaron f3,5 projection lens.

Total costs so far: about € 65

Well @Harm vb, at least the M42 system isn't too expensive to dabble with. And some of the Takumar lenses are very nice indeed.

Photography is mostly on a hold for me until the house purchase is finalised and we move.
But while I haven't bought any new lenses or cameras, I have added another Sony flash (HVL-F45RM) to my lineup.
That gives me 3 Sony "radio" flashes, so can now use one as a controller and 2 as slaves with the Sony radio link. It was another second-hand purchase as those things cost way too much brand new.

OTOH, the radio link between the flashes is very reliable and superior to a 'dumb' radio system that has to be all manually set.
