I feel a little remiss. Not exactly my first post.

@Fred_S: successful, indeed! I like the photo, but am curious. Can you tell me what this is? (and perhaps how you photographed it)

Cheers... Brian

@Svetlana, thanks

@Brian,
it is the top of a fountain against a blue sky.
Shot with my A99 and Tamron 24-70 USD @ 70mm at f4,5 and 1/3200 sec, ISO125. Cropped to square frame, blue colour boosted a bit in PP.
Took a number of shots, this one came out best in my view in terms of composition of the waterdrops.

Fred_S - first of all... Welcome aboard!!!

Your pic link seems to be broken now. By any chance do you use Lightroom's built in flickr connector? I have found that any re-uploads break the links very easily

Mickey2000, thanks for the welcome.
I do not use the flickr connector in LR (yet). It was a manual upload. On my devices, even if I am not logged in on Dyxum, the picture was still shown. However I have just reloaded it in the original post. I hate posts with missing pictures myself, so hopefully it's OK again now.
If not, let me know, although I am new on Dyxum and Flickr, so don't understand what went wrong. If Flickr has proven to be instable with its links here, I am open to
suggestions for other, more stable hosting sites.
Regards, Fred

hoi Fred!
not really familiar with Flickr, but since it's used by the majority of the D. members?? and seems to work fine?
I happen to like myalbum.com (or www.myalbum.nl). not just because it allows you to easily! create (and share) albums, but also because those albums happen to be private! sharing them with the world is an option and not something you'll have to uncheck every time you upload a pic.
(which was my Flickr experience. but c/b mistaken?).
http://iamaileen.com/myalbum-visual-storytelling-photo-stories/
up to 10 Gb it's free.

Hoi Angora, thanks for this hint. I will have a look.
With the .nl extension, it should be good
In Flickr you can choose to set private as standard for uploads by the way.

DJW! didn't know that. my only experience with Flickr was when I was requested to add some pics to a group.
the myalbum people are in Friesland, but decided to go global about a year ago with their renewed 'story telling' concept.

very easy to use once you know what icons to click. (if you would like to try it and can't wrap your head around-/would like a manual in steno/shorthand, just holler?).
I believe the number of albums with a free account is limited to 10?
it's either still? 10 Gb or again 2 Gb for free?

I pay approx. E40/year for a 'gold account', i.e. 100?Gb + unlimited albums. in any resolution so far. use it for 'back up' purposes as well. minimum is 400 x 400 pixels though.
consider it to be very handy to upload requested pics in separate albums for people. which look nice too.
and of course, have a number of 72 dpi-albums called 'DX', Dyxum...
