This is both a happy scene and a not so happy scene. It is a happy scene as the boy gets initiated, his father is allowed into the temple, but his sister and mother have to observe from the outside. The fact that his mother and sister have to stay outside is not so happy.

Sony A900 | Minolta 50/1.4 | f/2 | 1/25s | 320iso

If happy enough, next another ceremony.

Will snowdrops in the wild do?

Snowdrops | A7 and Industar 50-2 f/3.5

If so, then let's have snow dropping or falling next.

Brash ice and distant glaciers, Lindblad Cove, Antarctica by Joe Lewit, on Flickr

And now for something completely different ..... can we see a tropical beach?

Kuusankoski
(and I deliberately chose a very old photo, the power plant in this picture is no longer there)

And next a picture from the place where you currently live.

I live in Veenendaal since 1997 - in front 1920's labourers housing, in the back 1970's labourers high rise housing. In between a garage and middle class housing.

Sony A6400 | Sony 20/2.8 | f/8 | 1/250s | 100iso

Next the place where you were born.

Lydcott

I was actually born in a cottage hospital a few miles away, which no longer exists. The rightmost farm is the place my parents lived until they moved to Bideford when I was 2 1/2.

But this is a drone photo, so here is a photo of the pannier market in the town where I was born,

Pannier markets of North Devon /2 | A7 and FE 28-70

I hope this fulfills criteria and I for one would like to see more places of birth.

Actually the house where I was born (Stichtstraat 1, Amsterdam)
The house is bigger now, the more "blueish grey" part closest to the camera was added later. When we lived there this part was a garden.

Next: More grey/concrete housing
