Being one day too late (the pickup point was closed on monday so i had to pick up the click-in-filter today), clean the camera, mount the filter, testing for dust (grumble grumble - even more dust inside - that happens when you don't clean the click-in-filter!)...

At last we finished the tests with lots less dust on the sensor (only one tiny little spot left)... And me being lazy - i didn't want to redo the whole mess after 6 - yes 6 - cleanings of all surfaces (incl. one wet cleaning of the sensor and 5 times with the visible dust static brush).

There's one gasket [for light sealing] to put first and then you can put the filter in (a 2nd spare is provided - also included is a plectrum - i used my swiss-army-knife to remove the filter).

It was a bit of a tough job (i'm not keen on touching sensors) but it was worth it.

So i could generate day 32 - as i was hoping to do. And we do hope you like the horses - and if you don't i've got lions (all 3 of them!) in action (but with the 28-135 f4-4.5 and the LA-EA4r). And while it's not the fastest of the bunch - it works pretty well in those conditions (Even with the bonobo's behind glass - with the little ones not standing still or posing - but acting like real apes, hanging on ropes and playful).

I'll try to put the 2nd filter in my A7RII as soon as i have some time for this.

When you believe this info is valuable let me know i'll put it in a more technical thread on this forum.

My comments on Page 7 of the outtakes

Harm vb, why not a small piece of all? It looks very tasty!
Jozioau, some days I regret selling that lens, but when I think back about the weight in my bag it soothes a little
Robbie, a nice place for photography but also sobering I would think. I especially like the second with the lamp and shadow
mariuszlo, nice fall colours are appearing! And the weather cooperates nicely for another nice series. I also like the pumpkin+beer chair shot, very inviting
Jozioau, beautiful flowers and well captured. And a nice change from the fungi and shrooms that are "in bloom" on this side of the earth. And an interesting set from "Tha Gables", nice building.
Dopol, we had passion flowers in our garden and I found it very hard to take good pictures of them, but I wasn't into focus stacking then so that might help. And I never thought about shooting the buds, they came out nice, especially with the twinkling dew on them
mariuszlo, great view over the big apple, and the haze gives it a nice atmosphere
alanfrombangor, all three shots from Birmingham are top-notch, and the snowdonia mist is very typical of how I remember several trips to Wales.

It seems most people have their thumbnails in order but if not pls. complete them before the weekend. After that I'll start the voting thread for the exhibition. Every participant with more than 8 thumbnails will be included in that.

Apologies for my lack of interaction here throughout the challenge.

I set off with the best of intentions but fell in a heap a few days in, if it was a horse race I'd have been pulled up before halfway.

Thanks to @pegelli for his organisation and also @Jozioau for again being the King of commentary.

I've had a look through the comments and will reply to any aimed in my direction as soon as possible.

Having spent a few very pleasant hours looking through the thumbnails, I've posted comments along with my votes.

Well done to all who took part, some fine work.

Cheers

Andy
