We went looking for a tent trailer and ended up at the Cruquius Steam Draining Pump Station (1849). One of three pumping stations used to drain the Haarlemmermeer Polder. We Dutch certainly know how to make land from lake. Comes at a price though. The whole project costed ten million guilders, in todays money some 100 million euros. I had a bit of a struggle with this 1930s three element lens. Wide open not such a good idea. More to come, commenting later.

Hi Mikey,
it wasn´t the ceremony itself but the shooting afterwards. The guy behind the bridal pair was steering a drone he was filming with. But it is a bit strange scenery for sure |

Well done to all so far! The Joys of Manual Focus eh? Well done on getting hold of a lens just in the nick of time, thornburg.
Robbie - that wedding photo is most eye catching. It must have been an interesting/different ceremony.... I've been superbusy with family stuff today (but with a few pancakey shutter releases through the day) Tomorrow, it is one of our sons' 5th birthday party *and* I'm working a ten hour day/night. I'll see what I can manage |

I managed to grab a Minolta MD Rokkor-X 45mm f/2 at a local thrift shop yesterday, so I'm in!
Here's my first two: "Rokkor on a Messy Table" Minolta MD Rokkor-X 45mm f/2 on Sony A3000 via FOTGA MD-NEX adapter ISO 1600, 1/20, f/2 (or maybe f/2.8) (fully desaturated in Lightroom) "Growing Tomatoes" Minolta MD Rokkor-X 45mm f/2 on Sony A3000 via FOTGA MD-NEX adapter ISO 100, 1/30, f/4 (probably should have gone to ISO200... but I was having more trouble with focus than camera shake) Edited by thornburg - 19 September 2015 at 21:51 |

By the definition used here the Minolta 45/2 is a pancake at 30.5x64mm. It seems I don't have a lens that is compliant with the definition in this thread - the lens that comes closest is the Minolta MD 50/1.7 at 36x64. A two-day challenge is doable, but alas, no pancake |
