I should try RAW + JPG one of these days!

BTW, it's only Week 2, but I am realizing that I could probably do a 365 day project as long as it's 7/week and not picture-a-day. When I make a new theme choice Sunday night each week, it makes my photo choices for the week a lot easier. I'm still planning to post 2 new + 1 archive each week, but probably some bonus shots too

Actually it was RawShooter from Pixmantec (Danish company) which was bought by Adobe back in 2006 and incorporated into LR.

You're right Michael, I never owned a MAC so MAC only programs never were my thing . I also used the free LR Beta which I already liked better than RawShooter but quickly went to my free version of LR1 after it was released.

My 2006 'shoot-or-edit-every-day' was a 364/365 project. That, and Project 150, are very similar in feel to the 365 (shooting every day). Not quite the same of course. But the vibe is there. Hopefully you feel same way in Oct/Nov!

And remember a 365 doesn't have to start on 01-Jan. Some people pick another significant day (e.g. birthday). And some people just pick any random day, like ... tomorrow!

Walk out if it doesn't feel right
I can tell you're only lying
If you've got something better tonight
Then don't mess up my mind with your crying

I noticed there is talk in the individual threads. Usually there is no chatter in Challenge picture threads, but this is different? Anyway, be aware of what happens if you respond to all threads:

I’m guilty
Think we have made the challenge forum not visible in a”latest posts” at some point?
I can’t remember, long time since I joined a challenge

Maybe we comment here in this thread, and "watch" everyone's individual threads to be notified when there is activity?

Is there really a problem? Commentary is much easier within the individual threads and, I suspect, it might die down as the weeks pass.

I'm happy to go with whatever the group finds most agreeable. At the moment I like commenting directly and people's photos are bringing up some interesting questions and discussions. I hope we continue to comment as it does provide a kind of encouragement to keep going with the challenge.

@Maffe and @Pegelli

I wonder how many KM photographers we still have in Dyxum? I'm enjoying seeing some of those older images for a change.

And @Maffee- that 1 week of snow in your Week 2 set looks very striking. It has a playful charm to it.

That would be a question for Mirek or Mladen, I wouldn't know how to do that. Can't remember if we ever did it or just talked about it

We could set up a separate talk thread or use the "central" thread but as Phil mentions commenting in the threads is much easier since you don't have to cross reference the participant and exact shot. And even without comments the member threads will be hit at least 2 or 3 times per week so will continue to be frequently mentioned in the "latest 10 forum topics".

But as soon as you open the main forum page the challenges are separated from the photographs, equipment and sales topics, which is probably where most people go to see "what's new", so I suggest we keep it "as is" unless there are major objections.

I'm happy to keep the talk mixed into the individual threads. (Much less cross referencing between talk and photos....) There is a certain overhead in that you get a lot of emails but if you had a chat thread and subscribed to that as well as each individual photo thread, it would be the same amount.

I have an email filter set up that drops dyxum emails into a separate folder, which helps.
