The rx100iii is a gem!
I use it way to little. Right now a college have it to try out a better compact. |

Red? That's scarlet! Impressive sharpness .. the benefit of stacking!

I suppose in a way this is an out-take for the 150, as it was taken with my RX100iii. Taken just now and waiting for the smiley arrow box to arrive containing the IPA I ordered to clean the shell on my M2.
I ordered a new leatherette coat as the original was breaking up (no wonder after more than 50 years!) from Japan and it arrived yesterday, taking only four days! I plan to do the job properly and I'm taking my time so that it can give me service in the 20/21 Film Challenge, which is my other current Dyxum commitment for this year. ![]() Edit: Just as I posted the above photo the doorbell rang and, in the snow, the IPA arrived in a LandRover Defender! So my next post will hopefully show it looking, hopefully, like new ![]() What's that? This forum is for Minolta/Sony cameras? ![]() Edited by bonneville - 26 January 2021 at 13:41 |

Good to know that in case my M2 needs a new skin I can turn to you for advice. I just had the whole internals serviced and calibrated (incl. new shutter curtains) and the outside still looks pretty good except for a few rub-marks so I guess mine is ready for at least another 10 years. Good luck fixing up yours, looking forward to results, both of your final result of the camera as well as what you shoot with it.

At the weekend my wife reminded me that when we moved home we left our old bird feeders for the new owners and I had promised to build a new feeding station for our new home. Now I am a fully paid member of the DIY (Damage It Yourself) brigade but a promise is a promise.
So the W5P2 photo was taken this morning in my integral garage after a couple of days of making it up as I went along. A trifle over engineered and without too much accuracy (I am a firm believer of the saying "cut first, then measure it to see why it doesn't fit ![]() ![]() |
