Welcome to part 35 of the "random shots" thread.

All previous ones are listed here:

Just to recap what this thread is about: there are only three simple rules that must be fulfilled to post a photo in here:

  • The photo you post must be selected from your gallery in a random way (or pseudo-random - if there are some computing purists around ). Use your calculator, or computer to generate some pseudo-random number. Or use dice or results of your national lottery, or whatever ...

  • The first shot selected must be posted, i.e. no cheating is allowed because e.g. "that first photos was so awful"

  • No more than one photo per day is allowed.

Of course all are encouraged to comment others work and discuss various aspects of posted photos.
/Michael

There was a very nice B&W theme going, but I have to break it...

From July of 2009, about a week after I bought my a200.

A purplish pink rose growing in our garden. This bush has since died out on us .

Happy Friday everyone.

@pegelli - here in the USA, SADD stands for "Students Against Drunk Driving" so I though your usual suspects were criminals until the photo loaded and I discovered that it stood for "Sony Alpha Demo Day" (I think - my German is rusty).

@BobJ - too bad she didn't make it. The Olympic Gold Medalist from 2012 is from Fredonia, NY which is close to where I live.

Here's mine for today:

n-scale steam train by p_man random, on Flickr
Sony A200 | 1/25 | f/3.5 on Minolta 50/1.7 | ISO 400

This little guy was in a large display at a train show. He was very happy to let me practice my panning.

Cheers

p_man, I think most of the guys in the picture will be against drunk driving, but I don't think they still qualify to be called students
