That's right, Michele    It's a silver steel metal but I used bounced flash in a yellowish/brownish room.   I think I emphasised it a bit in PP too. (As well as adding a starburst effect). I think I spent too much time playing with a picture of a kitchen tool this time

Not to speak for OP, but that is the way Sony sees my Tamron 90mm on the A77. A bit frustrating, but Sony seems to misreport even their own lenses in EXIF.

That's it exactly. My Tam 90 shares a lens ID with the Sony/Minolta 100mm Macro. I usually run a tool to update the exif with the correct lens name. I forgot on this occasion.

Playing around with my new toys: NEX-F3 and a Minolta 100mm f4 Macro Rokkor-X, with the dedicated 1:2 - 1:1 converter.

I think these are mediocre for sharpness, probably limitation of the lens and camera combined. Can't remember specific aperture... somewhere between 5.6 and 11. This one isn't doctored up, straight out of the camera RAW and converted to JPEG with Lightroom.

It does look good - no need for any more filters or magnification there... I tried tubes and a Raynox DCR150 close up filter on my 70-300g (way back) and it seemed to work well. I've not tried on my 70-400G though. I might give it a try too

Hi slo.metallc. Not sure for the aperture, it is the adaptall version (all manual, no data recorded), but i usually close down a little bit... so i will say f3.5 or f4. The background is a mixture of yellow flowers and green grass. And i'm shooting macro , ratio 1:1.

Dytiscidae, or predaceous diving beetles. Was impressed with how big it was. It also went out of its supposed regular behaviour, climbing a big rock and chilling in the sun.
Taken with Minolta MD 35-70/3.5 (and A7). Not really an optimal lens for insect shooting but the macro button mode comes very handy for 1:4 at least.

Also did some regular macro shooting the other day.
