a day trip to the town of brasov, hoping to see some snow; got a lot of rain instead.

#1 old town piazza

#2 passages between the old buildings

#3 more arcades

#4 waiting for a rainy sunset on the citadel fortess hill, overlooking the old town

#5 after sunset

#6 the citadel fortress

#7 the prefecture, after dark

#8 same building, playing a little with camera profiles in Camera Raw

#9 christmas decorations . . .

#10 on a commercial street, reserved for pedestrians

Despite/because of the rain this is a very appealing set of images.
I particularly like the pastel colours and motion blurred light trails in #4, but they are all beautiful, enhanced by the atmospherics and the reflections.

The moody night shots are my favorites in this series - with #6 coming out on top!

TFS!

Both b&w and color work very well!
Painting with light was done beautifully specially in your last image in combination with soft and blurry motion of rain.

thank you all, the last two are also my favourites; on #10 I think I had quite a few drops of rain on the lens

That explains it! I was wondering how you got those smeared diagonal flares in the image?
Wonderful effect - can it be replicated??
I recall the old trick of smearing some vaseline onto the outer diameter of a lens to get a 'soft portrait' effect. This would be somewhat similar.
