"De Hef" in Rotterdam. An idle 4 track railway bridge across the Maas now being replaced by a tunnel but kept in place as an engineering heritage monument. Wonderful light in @onsplekkie's photo of Stari Most. It was blasted away in the Bosnian wars and the commander who ordered its destruction was prosecuted afterwards. It was carefully reconstructed with UNESCO assistance and now just needs a few centuries of patina to blend in. Many thanks, the light and shadows just seemed right. I didn’t shoot much digital over the weekend as I was out with my Bronica and a friend with his Mamiya 7. The "Banana Bridge" across the King Albert canal in Wijnegem. https://pegelli.smugmug.com/Other/202312/i-zXDBvWg/A">  A7ii + MD Rokkor 50/2 It's called the "Banana Bridge" because it curves around 90 degrees over the water, on one side the traffic enters parallel to the water and on the other side it lands perpendicular. The bridge will be demolished mid January 2024 (so in a few weeks) and be replaced by two higher bridges, one for cyclists and pedestrians, the other for road traffic. Both will be perpendicular to the water on both sides, so this unique curved design will be a thing of the past.
