This was actually a Dyxum minimeet since Ivo (minolta-mutley) also attended the same photo excursion. So Ivo, feel free to also post some of your photo's here . We were six photographers in total, one more Sony (but not a Dyxum member) two Nikons and one Canon.
I have alrady shown some images from this fort visit in the B&W challenge:

Impressive set, Pieter - B/W fits the subject very well.
My favorites are the first one and the staircase image (without ghosts) - the real achievement probably was to take a photograph without ghosts/people on it.
Must have been an impressive place, too. In case you are looking for similar experiences: Have a look https://www.bbc.com/travel/article/20230501-regan-vest-inside-denmarks-secret-nuclear-bunker - here. I would come and accompany you!

Good series Pieter! #1 is my pick from this set. I was in Liege last Friday for work, but without my camera though.

Thanks for the comments, it was indeed a nice day and since the fort was only opened for us (6 photographers) shooting empty hallways and staircases was certainly possible since we all know how unintended photobombing influences the general mood
And Harm, believe it or not, but the ghosts are real

I'm going to start from the last images. To avoid duplication Pieter's images.
The entrance a little bit further away:

Memorial with a tank-fan we should be very thankful for, in the background (the organizer of the meeting).

I should combine both landscape pictures. The first image shows a coalmine dump in the background (mine of Blegny - https://www.blegnymine.be/en )

Was there a tank - yes indeed. Without thanks.

Tomorrow we 'll show you some geological images...

A small bunkerbuster hole (made by the germans during WWII doing tests without soldiers in there - they 'used' this place as a test-site, it seems there is a 2nd site in Belgium where such tests also took place) - and the structure of the marl becomes visible.

Another hole in the roof:

The same entry with the paterns of the Marl - it makes you seasick when you focus on them!

the hole in the center

sideview of the hole made by the explosion

Another hole made by powerful german powder.

Another sleeping place.

more centered

Almost a ghost-house

Contrast between the concrete and the marl by a sidewards explosion.

The start of Crazy Harry's favorite place in the fortress (the most beloved figure in the show that always takes care of the show in a rather explosive way)...
This could be sold as a piece of Art - but of course the objectives where a lot worse than that - testing of destructive weapons.

I cannot find information on the "upper part of a tank" a.k.a. a turret. I am not fully convinced it is a tanks turret, could be a ship's turret. Anyway, I do not recognize it.
Those showers could use a proper cleaning

pegelli, I really like p23 giving a sence of speed and I am wondering how you did this. The exposure time is 6 seconds, did you zoom in or out to get this effect?

KoBra64 wrote:
The exposure time is 6 seconds, did you zoom in or out to get this effect? | Thanks and you guessed right Peter, the camera was on a tripod (very much needed in these dark hallways) and for p23 I zoomed during the 6 seconds. I played a bit with how long to wait before starting to zoom as well as zoom speed. Quite a lot of exposures ended in the bin but this one https://www.dyxum.com/dforum/any-kind-of-blur-1_topic92187_post1719773.html#1719773 - and another one I posted earlier came out good enough to share here. p23 is a bit slower zoom through a smaller range than the one in "any kind of blur"
