Subject: The next photo will have...
Date Posted: 28 August 2007 at 01:15
I got this from IceInSpace, the Australian Amateur Astronomy website whilst I was looking up info on tonights eclipse and thought it would be fun!

The way it works is that I'll start off with a photo and also name the next subject using "The Next Photo will have......" and then someone can post the next photo with this theme and they inturn will pick the theme for the next photo saying "The Next Photo will have......" and so it goes.

It is designed to be fast paced and fun, everyone can post but you'll have to be quick before the theme changes to something else.

If the person picking the theme wishes they can call a "Wildcard theme" where the next photo can be anything.

Please remember to include the line "The Next Photo will have......" in your post.

This is the starting photo... The next photo will have something blue in it

Yea, you've got to be quick. I was gonna post something big but got passed up. This is similar to a game played by one of my FLICKR groups where you post a pic with something that was asked for and request something different that's in your pic. For example, Mortenva could have posted as a reply to "Show me some water" his pic and then asked "Show me a surfboard". Nice game to pass time to, we also do it with colors.

Hey, this is fun, great idea Rosie :)
Unfortunately, I have no butterfly pics taken with my A100, but I couldn't resist:

It's the only butterfly shot I have. Still... it's taken with a Sony (H1), so it should qualify. If it does...then the next photo will have a sad face in it. If it doesn't...then someone post a butterfly pic quick :)

That was the Longhorn Steakhouse, while under construction in the Mansfield Home Depot parking lot back on February 15 of this year. It was about 4 degrees above zero that night. It didn't start an explosion but did once the gas lines caught, it really went up like nothing I have ever seen. The noise of the fire was amazing.

I shot it with my Sony A100 and some PP was done to brighten it a bit.

They have since rebuilt and is almost ready to open.

Digging into the archives of movies for that quote, huh!

I haven't even thought about that movie for a long time. Good movie though.

edit: I just Googled it and it came out in 1986.....THAT'S 21 years!!!! Wow, I must be getting old. :->

Yikes ! That puts me (just ever-so-barely) into the tail end of my teenage years ... I like to think I wouldn't be quite so impressed by Crocodile Dundee these days ;) I think that's the only quote from the movie that stuck with me, but it comes to mind in many situations.

If so, then I'd like to reenergize the thread with some lightning in the next photo.

Sorry to go off topic again but I have to say that my most used quote from Crocodile Dundee (in fact my only one) is used whenever my wife asks me how dinner tastes, I reply, "well you could live on it, but it tastes like s***" I don't usually get as far as the last word due to 2 kids around and flying shoes heading my way.
I'm 3 months older than you Dennis so right at the end of my teens too when the movie was out. Sorry to any younger ones that haven't got a clue what we're talking about.
Great thread Rosie, I've not been quick enough yet to join in.

Rosie: sorry for sidetracking the thread (great idea by the way), if Entropy's wasn't a "real gate" then this hardly will be

I think mine was taken from further back, but with a longer focal length.

The tower in the background of mine can be seen smaller, and fainter, in Entropy's, and the thin tower/arch structure in Entropy's was obscured by the left wall of the gate in mine.
