@bigjt, you're a born wedding photographer
@digiton, lovely smile, I might just brighten the whole picture a bit (especially just below bigjt's very bright wedding shot)
@zfcentral, his character comes through quite clear. Only find the shadow around his right eye a bit dark. Was that on purpose?
Here's just a quick candid from me. One of the artists who came to entertain the kids at the Santa party at our work:

Hi Pegelli!
Well i wanted kind of a hard moody light and used only one light overhead (70cm Deep Octa), this shot was however just a snap between wardrobe changes. The real shoot was for a friend who is a designer so while the girls went to change outfits i snapped this one.

Beautiful shot Leo - great work and the 5N with the Nokton doing their bit too
If I may ask, is the 50 1.5 particularly small and how do you rate the bokeh in more challenging scenarios than this? (samples of bokeh from the 40 1.4 didn't look good to me, so I'm wondering about the 40 f1.4 pen f instead)
(I attended a party before Christmas and was snapping away all evening and showing the shots at the end, had the comments that they'd not realised I was taking shots either. Take advantage of the waist level shooting whilst we can - people will get wise soon )

Thanks Tim, Luis and brettania
@ Luis: I agree with brettania, your wedding photos made me smile!
@ Tim: the 50/1.5 is not very small; it's about the length of the Minolta 50/1.4, but the diameter is smaller. The bokeh is very good @ F1.5 (my favourite aperture with this lens). The 40/1.4 is not the best Voigtlander imo; I'm not surprised you were not impressed. The 50/1.5 is very good but is discontinued. I got mine from CameraQuest (Stephen Gandy). He still has some in stock.
Here are a few more, all @ F1.5:
Fingers working http://www.flickr.com/photos/9317892@N04/6681445355/" rel="nofollow"> NEX-5N + Voigtlander Nokton ASPH 50/1.5 @ F1.5, 1/60, +0.7 EV, 800iso

Sorry my fault - we're now infesting this thread with equipment talk
And maybe posting a few too many NEX images outside of the NEX threads too
(But 'yes' that bokeh looks fine; it's the 40 that didn't look as good)
And another great set of candids BTW

@ JT -- one of the best sets I have seen from you. You have got the model to connect with the camera, and these shows show the benefits.

M4RiO. I'm thinking a tighter crop on the second photo. I actually missed the first one, obviously half asleep. Love the B&W conversion.

John, very nice portrait on the last one except I think that's showing the limits of the 50 on FF - I feel it's a bit close and if I'm not mistaken there's maybe a touch of distortion setting in. To me her face doesn't appear quite natural in terms of shaping. I would suggest you go for the 80-200 in those circumstances and shoot at at least 80 if not longer.

Brian....if only i could have. This was done in a room measuring 6 feet x 7 feet and as you know the MFD on the 80-200 is... well lets say not good for this room size. Im thinking of selling 4/5 lenses to put towards a 24-70cz

Hmm, well I guess under those circumstances the only choice is to back up just a touch and crop - no harm in that.
I'd say go for the 24-70 as long as one of those 4-5 lenses isn't your 80-200! There's just no substitute for longer focal lengths when it comes to shooting models, especially outdoors like you like to do.
PS: nice compo on that last one.
