Pic 1 - Bunch of violas 1

Pic 2 - Bunch of violas 2

Pic 3 Single viola 1

Pic 4 - Single viola 2

Pic 5 - Chive flower

So, results of HDR from the A77?

I the inner pattern of the upturned petal caught my eye when I inspected the photo on the camera screen. This is what I ended up with after editing with LR4.

This is the original photo.

Thanks Cam . I have no clue what they are, really... they're all pretty (insert color here) flowers to me !

one of my favorite activities this time of year is to go down to a garden center with my camera and snap away !

Another one from such a visit, from last week:

Maybe you can identify this one as well ? The petals have a weird hard-plastic texture (no, they're not plastic flowers )

This last one i was thinking would have made a great High Key shot for the Assignment thread but i didn't want to mine. I love the High Key feel to it though.

Well, i hesitated from using Shu'Gi, because more often then not in Forums i noticed that the ' tends to cause problems with line breaks on some older browsers when used in linkable items, like nicnames etc. But if you think its ok here to use the ' it would be very nice of you to change it :)

Seems to work here in Dyxum.

BTW love the DOF the 60mm gives with the a65.

Yes, its a very nice lens, with nice relation of DOF and angle of field. Although sometimes i wish i had a bit more minimum distance. But ah well, im already saving for the Minolta 100 ;) Guess the two should complement each other nicely.

I find the Min 50 f2.8 macro and the Tammie 90 (and the Sigma 180 f5.6.) have the same relationship. You should give the Tammie some serious consideration. Snobbery and a shade better bokeh, but only a shade, give the Minolta the edge.

@ Aperture

It can be considered a flower shot, and a very good one, although I am sure it is used by wedding shooters.
