@jlosinski... Really nice conversion, tones & etc. Good B&W

@straupenieks ... As an experiement worth pursuing! Got everything that a moody B&W needs - only shorfall as greyscale is the big dark hole it creates in the top left corner - you could actually crop down a bit to eliminate most of that.

@Serdar... Just personally, I think that treatment suits the violinist well - better than it suits the wedding shots

Beautiful shot and the mono conversion works well.

But my brain can't quite get past the feeling that it's not level and all the water would be flowing to the left. You've got the little waterfalls vertical, but these don't need to be - instead look at the surface of the pools and water around the base of rocks - these should be level.

If you agree with me, any chance of re-posting? (between 5 and 6 degrees clockwise looks good to me)

Thanks for the compliment regardless, for what's its worth I didn't post these photos in the "Street Photography" theme thread. But looking at the examples I guess if I had cropped the photos tighter perhaps where the lady holding the umbrella then maybe it would be closer to being "street photography" (?) I thought about doing that but its actually not very sharp or focused on her face so decided not to

Just got the Bower (Samyang) 8mm. Of course, it's dark and overcast this evening. So I went with B&W on these. Just experimenting with lens and Nik color effects for the B&W. Wanted dark and moody to go with the failing daylight and heavy cloud cover.

This is an old one from 2002. Ten years ago I used to shoot with a sony video camera switched to still mode. As the pictures were awfully noisy, I converted them to BW for the noise to become grain.

Not a name tag, our mobile telephone numbers on one side. Other side says 'I'm chipped' refers to Id microchip.
