x-700 and 35/1.8, ilford 125


I did my best to correct vertical, horizontal + distortion in LR, after the lab scanned the negatives. Usually I like shots like these to be perfectly "flat". Kind of kicking myself I wasn't more careful when I shot it and I couldn't get it any better than this in LR.

Almost forgot I had a rather idiotic SPT shot with x700 and MD28/3.5 at f3.5 and just about minimum focus distance.

I was trying to do a remake, based on my memory of the photo (without looking at it) to this photo of Ron:

In the process I learnt few things...:
1) My memory is really bad... The photos are too different...
2) Self portrait with f/1.2 MF lens is not a good idea...
3) Ron is better looking and sweeter than I am...

I know what you're saying my friend. Over half the photos I take that have my wonderful, dear, sweet, beautiful wife (just incase she's looking over my shoulder) are nixed. I don't remember a "veto power" clause in our arrangement.

(It is actually a bacteria that was drawn on the board before and I just writing random things. Note to self - think about a specific equation before starting the 10 seconds delay...)

Thank you francis! Actually the other camera is an Alpha7, a recent purchase, the lens is a Minolta 135/2.8
