I agree. I try to not shoot from that lower angle with my main light due specifically for the reason you mentioned Ken, the nose shadow tends to be very distracting. Lift the light up and use a reflector below her (you can even have her hold it if you go in tight on her).

Ken the light looks to be a little low on the subject - see catch lights. Lifting the main light would have placed your shadow in a Rembrandt lighting pattern.

With her bone structure I would have used beauty lighting with the main directly in front and above the subject with either a small soft box below or a reflector to open up shadow below the chin.

I'm going to critique my own photo really quick... I always say that I learn something in EVERY photo op, and there are 2 things that are bugging me about this shot, 1) the shadow cast onto her face from her nose, 2) too much on her left cheek bone... this would have been solved if I had her simply turn slightly to her right OR, moved the light/softbox over to the right/"fan" it to reduce the shadow (but not sure if that would reduce the pronounced angle of her left cheek bone though)
