x3idave, if you don't mind I'm going to move your contribution to a dedicated Leica R Summicron 50 thread (or you can do yourself). I think the Leica-M/M39 mount differs too much from the Leica-R mount: other lenses, other adapters, other flange focal distance; and another interesting difference: the Rs are adaptable to A-mount.

Cool… what's the minimum focus you're getting with the hawks? Have you tried the CV close focus adapter?

Two more at close range with the 50/2 DR (+ Hawks adapter).






Both shots with A6000 and wide open = f2.0)
