   While down in Alabama, it was time to eat some good southern BBQ.

2. Foorball is big in Alabama (and the South)

That's Nick Saban and Bear Bryant in prominently displayed pictures.  Both legendary (national title winning) coaches of American college football (specifically, the University of Alabama, known as The Crimson Tide), for those not familiar with the game.

American food servings have tradionally been large.  They're even larger in these old BBQ joints.  Thanks for looking.

	The food was good! Though the portions were too large (not really a complaint). As an aside, South City Kitchen in Atlanta had the best waffle and chicken I've had in a very long time. And they had great cornbread and biscuits. Thanks for the comments.
